  • What should I Bring?
    You will need your ticket for entrance, A student/essential worker ID for verification if you purchased a Student/Essential Worker Ticket.
  • I bought a student ticket but don’t have a physical ID, is that ok?
    No ID? No problem! As long as you have some way to verify you are a student, you will have no issue entering the museum. This can been an online portal, an email from your school, or even a recent report card.
  • If I am a student from another state/country, am I still eligible for the student discount?
    Yes! So long as you can prove you are a student.
  • Can I buy tickets at the door?
    No, because chances are when you come to the museum, we will be sold out for that time slot, so it is always better to reserve in advance.
  • When do I need to arrive for my timed ticket?
    Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early for your timed reservation.
  • What happens if I am late from my reservation?
    Your reservation will start on time, so if you arrive 5 minutes late, you will have 5 minutes less in the museum. The same for 10 minutes and so on. If you arrive after you time slot is over, you will not be able to enter the museum and will need to reschedule for another day.
  • How can I reschedule my reservation?
    Email support@brushfire.com with your order number and the date and time you would like to move your reservation to, they will get back to you within 48 hours.
  • How long does it take to go through the museum?
    Time slots are 60 minutes long, which is plenty of time to see all of our wonderful illusions.
  • Can I bring a stroller?
    Strollers are not permitted in the exhibit due to the intimate layout, however you are more than welcome to leave you stroller with our staff at the reception desk.
  • Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
    We are in compliance with ADA. That being said, about 75% of the museum is wheelchair accessible. We have an elevator that can get guests to our first floor which hold about 75% of the museum but unfortunately the second floor is only accessible by stairs. Due to the museum being in a historical NYC building, we are unable to build any lifts or elevators up to the second floor to accommodate any guests in wheelchairs.
  • What are the nearest subway stations?
    The 14th street A,C, and E lines as well as the 8th avenue L line are right outside of our door! The 14th street 1,2, and 3 lines are also a block away from us.
  • Is there parking?
    There is no parking affiliated with the museum but there is a parking garage a block away from us on 15th street in between 8th and 9th Avenue called Icon Parking. If you are planning on driving, please allow time to find a parking spot because parking is limited near the museum.
  • Are pictures allowed?
    Pictures are not only allowed but encouraged! Please take as many photos as you would like!
  • Are you open on holidays?
    Yes, the museum is open every day of the year! Just check to see if we have reservations available as holidays and weekends are our busiest days!
  • Do you have a coat check at the museum?
    We do not currently have a coat check at the museum.
  • Do you sell food or drinks at the museum?
    No, we do not sell any food or drink, nor do we allow any outside food or drinks in the museum.
  • Is the museum pet friendly?
    Yes, the museum welcomes pets!
